Stop-Motion
Subversions
@
the Echo Park Film Center
What does “subversive” mean to you?
Stop-Motion Subversions
will be a one-night only screening at the Echo Park Film
Center in Los Angeles, California on October 8, 2005.
We
are not looking for your standard stop-motion fare. We are looking
for stop-motion films that will destroy, demystify and confront.
Experimental films are welcome. Boring super-hero garbage is not.
Content is looked at over technique but we hope to have both.
How do you define subversive? We’ll let you decide exactly
what that means and if you think your film will work for this
screening.
There is no entry fee.
This
will be the fifth screening I have curated in conjunction with
the Echo Park Film
Center. Past Screenings have included films by animators such
as Lewis Klahr,
Janie
Geiser, Nirvan Mullick,
Lisa Yu
and many more.
